Eagles-Desperado (full album 1973)

“Desperado” is the second studio album by the American band the Eagles. It was recorded at Island Studios in London, England and released in 1973. The songs on “Desperado” are based on the themes of the Old West. The band members are featured on the album's cover dressed like an outlaw gang; “Desperado” remains the only Eagles album where the band members appear on the front cover.
Although the title track is one of the Eagles' signature songs, it was never released as a single. The song "Desperado" was ranked number 494 on Rolling Stone's 2004 list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". The album did yield two singles, though: "Tequila Sunrise" and "Outlaw Man". Those two singles reached number 64 and number 59 respectively. The album reached number 41 on the Billboard album chart and was certified gold by the RIAA on September 23, 1974, and double platinum on March 20, 2001.
“Desperado” was the last Asylum Records album to be distributed in North America by Atlantic Records (catalog no. SD 5068), prior to Asylum's mid-1973 merger with Elektra Records by Asylum's, Elektra's and Atlantic's parent company, Warner Communications.

“Desperado” este al doilea album de studio al trupei americane de rock Eagles. A fost inregistrat la Islands Studios din Londra, Anglia si lansat in 1973. Cantecele pe “Desperado” sunt bazate pe teme din Vechiul Vest. Membrii trupei sunt prezentati pe coperta imbracati ca niste cowboy in afara legii; “Desperado” ramane singurul album Eagles unde membrii trupei apar pe coperta.
Desi piesa din titlu este una cu semnatura Eagles, nu a fost lansata niciodata ca single.  Cantecul “Desperado” a fost clasat pe locul 494 in lista Rolling Stone magazine din 2004 a celor mai mari 500 de cantece din toate timpurile. Albumul a produs doua single-uri totusi: “Tequila Sunrise” si “Outlaw Man”. Aceste doua single-uri au aytins locul 64, respective 59. Albumul a atins locul 41 in clasamentul Bilboard si a fost certificat cu aur de catre RIIA la 23 septembrie 1974 si cu dublu platina pe 20 martie 2001.
“Desperado” a fost ultimul album de la Asylum Records distribuit in America de Nord de catre Atlantic Records (catalog nr. SD 5068), inainte de unificarea dintre Asylum si Elektra Records, de la mijlocul lui 1973, prin compania mama Warner Communication.
