“Emerson, Lake & Palmer” is the debut studio album by the English progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer, released in the UK in November 1970 on Island Records (catalog no. ILPS 9132). The album's initial North American release was several weeks later, in January 1971, on Atlantic Records' Cotillion Records subsidiary (catalog no. SD 9040). Recording took place at Advision Studios in July 1970 when the group had yet to perform live, and lasted for three months. The album was supported by the group's show at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival.
“Emerson, Lake & Palmer” went to number four on the UK Albums Chart and number 18 on the Billboard 200 in the US. In Canada, the album reached number 17 on 3 separate occasions, beginning May 8th, and was in the Top 100 for 35 weeks. "Lucky Man" reached number 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the US.

“Emerson, Lake & Palmer” este albumul de debut al trupei engleze de rock progresiv Emerson, Lake & Palmer, lansat in Marea Britanie in noiembrie 1970 de catre Island Records (nr. De catalog ILPS 9132). Lansarea initiala in America de nord a fost cateva saptamani mai tarziu, in ianuarie 1971, de catre Cotillion Records, o subsidiara a Atlantic Records (nr. De catalog SD 9040). Inregistrarea a avut loc la Advision studios in iulie 1970 cand grupul avand de sustinut concerte, a durat circa trei luni. Albumul a fost ajutat in promovare de spectacolul de la Festivalul Isle of Wight din 1970.
“Emerson, Lake & Palmer” a atins locul 4 in clasamentul albumelor din Marea Britanie si locul 18 in Billboard 200 din Statele Unite. In Canada a fost pe locul 17 in trei ocazii diferite, incepand cu 8 mai si a fost in Top 100 pentru 35 de saptamani. “Lucky Man” a atins locul 48 in clasamentul Billboard Hot 100 singles in Statele Unite.
