Easy Rider - soundtrack 1969

“Easy Rider” is the soundtrack to the cult classic 1969 film Easy Rider. The songs that make up the soundtrack were carefully selected to form a "musical commentary" within the film. The album of the soundtrack was released by ABC-Dunhill Records in August 1969 (catalog no. DSX 50063). It peaked at #6 on the Billboard album charts in September of that year and was certified gold in January 1970.
The songs on the soundtrack album are sequenced in the same order as they appear in the film, with the following differences:
"The Weight", as originally recorded by The Band for their 1968 debut album Music From Big Pink, was used in the film but could not be licensed for the soundtrack. To deal with this, ABC-Dunhill commissioned Smith, who recorded for the label at the time, to record a cover version of the song for the soundtrack album.
Two songs used in the film, Little Eva's "Let's Turkey Trot" and The Electric Flag's "Flash, Bam, Pow", were omitted from the soundtrack album.
Distribution of the album transferred from the ABC-Dunhill label to Warner Bros. Records' Reprise Records subsidiary (catalog no. MS 2026) in 1970, and Reprise published the album through much of the 1970s.  The album is currently published by the Universal Music Group, of which ABC-Dunhill is a legacy imprint.

Cantecele care alcatuiesc coloana Sonora au fost alese cu grija ca sa formeze un “comentariu muzical” in interiorul filmului. Albumul coloanei sonore a fost lansatde ABC-Dunhill Records in august 1969 (catalog nr. DSX 50063). A  atins locul 6 in Billboard album charts in septembrie al aceluiasi an si a fost certificate album de aur in ianuarie 1970.
Cantecele pe album sunt in aceeasi ordine in care apar in film, cu urmatoarele diferente:
“The Weight”, inregistrat original de catre The Band pentru albumul lor de debut din 1968 “Music From Big Pink”, a fost folosit in film, dar nu a putut fi licentiate la coloana Sonora. Pentru a rezolva aceasta, Dunhill Records l-a comisionat pe Smith, care a inregistrat pentru marca aceelui timp o versiune cover a cantecului pentru albumul coloanei sonore.
Doua cantece folosite in film, cel de la Little Eva “Let’s Turkey Trot” si cel de la The Electric Flag “Flash, Bam, Pow”, au fost omise de pe albumul coloanei sonore.
Distributia albumului a fost transferata de la ABC-Dunhill Records la Reprise Records o subsidiara a Warner Bros Records (catalog nr. MS 2026) in 1970 si Reprise a publicat albumul cea mai mare parte a anului 1970. Albumul este acum publicat de catre Universal Music Group care o mosteneste pe ABC-Dunhill.

“A Star Is Born” is the soundtrack album to the 2018 musical film of the same name, performed by its stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. It was released on October 5, 2018, by Interscope Records. Gaga and Cooper collaborated on the soundtrack album with an assortment of country musicians, including Lukas Nelson, who also stars in the film as a member of Cooper's band. For the more pop-oriented songs on the soundtrack, Gaga teamed up with recurring collaborator DJ White Shadow. The soundtrack also includes contributions from Jason Isbell, Mark Ronson, Diane Warren, and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow. Commercially, it has topped the charts in more than 15 countries, attaining gold and platinum certifications from many of them, while selling over two million copies worldwide. The tracks "Shallow" and "Always Remember Us This Way" have been released as singles.
