Whitesnake - Lovehunter (Full album 1979)

“Lovehunter” is the second studio album by British band Whitesnake, released in 1979. It charted at No. 29 on the UK Albums Chart.
"Long Way from Home", the leading track on the album reached No. 55 on the UK charts.
“Lovehunter's” controversial cover art, showing a naked woman straddling a large snake, was created by fantasy artist Chris Achilleos. It was the last album cover he designed for many years, until 2003 and Gary Hughes' rock opera “Once and Future King Part I”. The original “Lovehunter” artwork was stolen in the 1980s. A similar idea had been used three years earlier for the cover of Jon Lord's “Sarabande” album. Lord was in Whitesnake at the time of “Lovehunter”.

A fost ultima coperta de album realizata pentru multi ani mai departe, pana in 2003 cand a facut coperta pentru Gary Hughes si a lui opera rock “Once and Future King Part I”. Coperta originala de la “Lovehunter” a fost furata in anii ’80. O idee similara fusese folosita trei ani mai devreme pentru coperta albumului “Saranade” al lui Jon Lord, care era in Whitesnake la momentul “Lovehunter”.

“Machine Head” is the sixth studio album released by the English rock band Deep Purple. It was recorded through December 1971 in Montreux, Switzerland, and released in March 1972.
"Machine Head" is often cited as a major influence in the early development of the heavy metal music genre. Commercially, it is Deep Purple's most successful album, topping the charts in several countries following its release. The album reached number 1 in the United Kingdom and stayed in the top 40 for 20 weeks. It reached number 7 in the United States, remaining on the Billboard 200 for 118 weeks.

"Machine Head" este al șaselea album de studio al trupei Deep Purple. A fost înregistrat la Grand Hotel Montreux, Elveția în decembrie 1971 cu ajutorul studioului mobil al celor de la The Rolling Stones și lansat în martie 1972.
Albumul este considerat unul foarte influent în dezvoltarea muzicii heavy metal. Este cel mai de succes disc al formației atingând primul loc în unele țări la momentul apariției.
Comercial, a fost cel mai mare succes al lui Deep Purple, ocupand primele locuri in clasamentele musicale din mai multe tari dupa lansare.
Albumul a atins locul 1 in Marea Britanie si a stat in Top 40 timp de 20 de saptamani. In Statele Unite  a atins locul 7 si a stat in Billboard 200 timp de 118 saptamani.
„Machine Head” este și subiectul unui episod din cadrul seriei „Classic Albums” — documentar despre cum au luat naștere unele dintre cele mai faimoase albume realizate vreodată. „Machine Head” a fost reeditat în sistem de Sunet Surround pe Super Audio CD (2003) și DVD-Audio (2001).

“Trouble” is the first studio album from British hard rock band Whitesnake, led by former Deep Purple vocalist David Coverdale. It reached No. 50 on the UK Albums Chart when it was released in October 1978. This followed the 4 track EP Snakebite, later available in the US as an import album from continental Europe.
This album also features for the first time Coverdale's former bandmate in Deep Purple Jon Lord.
The album was recorded at Central Recorders Studio in London during the summer of 1978. Martin Birch produced the album, which was recorded and mixed in ten days.
According to Coverdale, one of the reasons the album was called "Trouble", was because his first child was born during the album's recording.

Acest album il are pentru prima data si pe fostul coleg al lui Coverdale de la Deep Purple, Jon Lord.
Albumul a fost inregistrat la Central Recorders Studio in Londra in timpul verii 1978. Martin Birch a produs albumul, care a fost inregistrat si mixat in 10 zile.
Conform lui Coverdale, unul din motivele pentru care albumul s-a numit “Trouble”, a fost ca primul lui copil s-a nascut in timpul inregistrarii albumului.

“Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow” (sometimes stylised “Ritchie Blackmore's R-A-I-N-B-O-W”) is the first studio album by British rock band Rainbow, released in 1975.
The album was widely praised for its fantasy/heroic-like lyrical content and the innovative rock style.
“Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow” was re-issued on CD in remastered form in the US in April 1999. The European release followed later in the year.
Vocalist Ronnie James Dio considered this release his favourite Rainbow album.
Despite the title implying the record being a Ritchie Blackmore solo release, in later years Blackmore has jokingly stated that Dio's contributions warranted a re-titling of "Ritchie Blackmore and Ronnie James Dio's Rainbow".

Vocalistul Ronnie James Dio a considerat aceasta lansare ca fiind albumul Rainbow favorit. In ciuda titlului care sugereaza o lansare solo a lui Blackmore, in anii urmatori Blackmore a glumit spunand despre contributia lui Dio ca a garantat un nou titlu de “Ritchie Blackmore and Ronnie James Dio’s Rainbow”.

“Perfect Strangers” is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple, released in October 1984. It represents the first (as well as the most successful) album recorded by the reformed 'Mark II' line-up.
It was the first Deep Purple studio album in nine years, and the first with the Mk II line-up in eleven years, the last being Who Do We Think We Are in 1973. Ritchie Blackmore and Roger Glover arrived from Rainbow, Ian Gillan from Black Sabbath, Jon Lord from Whitesnake, and Ian Paice from Gary Moore's backing band.
The CD and cassette versions of the album contained the extra track "Not Responsible" (one of few Deep Purple songs with profane lyrics, as the word "fucking" can be heard in the song). The album was remastered and reissued on 22 June 1999 with the bonus instrumental track "Son of Alerik". The latter had previously been available as a B-side on the single "Perfect Strangers" in 1984.
The album was a commercial success, reaching #5 in the UK charts and #17 on the Billboard 200 in the US.
“Perfect Strangers” was only the second Deep Purple studio album to be certified platinum in the US, following 1972's “Machine Head”. The tour was so successful that the band had to book many additional dates to the US arena tour, as tickets sold out very quickly. Their US tour in 1985 out-grossed every artist that year except Bruce Springsteen.

Deep Purple - Nobody's Perfect (Full Album live 1988)

“Nobody's Perfect” is a live album released in 1988 by the British rock band Deep Purple. It was recorded during the tour in support of “The House of Blue Light” in 1987 in Europe and the US. The outer sleeve photography was designed by Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis.
Track transitions are marked by fades. It also contains a new live in studio version of "Hush" to commemorate their 20th anniversary. "Black Night" was also re-recorded but never released. "Hard Lovin' Woman" includes parts of "Under the Gun" during Blackmore's guitar solo. "Strange Kind of Woman" includes the "Superstar" chorus from “Jesus Christ Superstar”. "Woman from Tokyo" changes into "Everyday" by Buddy Holly halfway through. The album represented Deep Purple's setlist at the time, which consisted much of the typical “Made in Japan” set, combined with newer material from the 1984 reunion album “Perfect Strangers” and “The House of Blue Light”. Songs such as "The Unwritten Law" and "Difficult to Cure" (which included an extended-riff from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, 4th Movement) were played every night on the tour, but were not included on this album. On some nights they also played "Call of the Wild" or "Mad Dog".

Nobody’s Perfect” este un album live lansat in 1988 de trupa de rock britanica Deep Purple. A fost inregistrat in timpul turneului de promovare a albumului “The House of Blue Light”, facut in 1987 in Europa si Statele Unite. Fotografia copertei a fost realizata de catre Aubrey Powell de la Hipgnosis.

Deep Purple - A.BanD.On (Full album 1998)

“Abandon” is the sixteenth studio album by the British hard rock band Deep Purple, released in the Spring of 1998. It was Deep Purple's second album with Steve Morse on guitar and the last album to feature founding member Jon Lord prior to his departure in 2002.
The album was followed by a successful 1998/1999 world tour which brought Deep Purple to Australia for the first time in 15 years. In 1999 a live album and DVD “Total Abandon: Australia '99” recorded in Melbourne on 20 April 1999 was released.
The album title is actually a pun from Ian Gillan – "A Band On" – and the album was followed by the "A Band on Tour". Uniquely for a Deep Purple studio album, it features a reworking of a previously recorded song – "Bloodsucker" from “Deep Purple in Rock” (here re-titled "Bludsucker"). "Don't Make Me Happy" was mistakenly mastered in mono, and not amended on the final release. One of the two versions of the song released on promo single was, however, mastered in stereo.

“Abandon” este al saisprezecelea album de studio al trupei britanice de hard rock Deep Purple, lansat in primavara lui 1998. A fost al doilea album de la Deep Purple cu chitaristul Steve Morse si ultimul pe care apare membrul fondator Jon Lord, anterior plecarii lui in 2002.
Albumul a fost urmat de de un turneu mondial dde succes, care i-a adus pe Deep Purple in Australia dupa 15 ani. In 1999 au fost lansate un album live si DVD-ul “Total Abandon:Australia ‘99”, inregistrat la Melbourne pe 20 aprilie 1999.
Titlul albumului este de fapt o gluma a lui Ian Gillan –“A Band On” (Abandon) –si albumul este urmat de “A Band on Tour”. Unic, pentru un album de studio Deep Purple, este faptul ca este prezentat un cantec reprelucrat de pe “Deep Purple in Rock, “Bloodsucker”, aici intitulat “Bludsucker”. “Don’t Make Me Happy” a fost reimbunatatit in mono, din greseala, si lasat asa la lansare. Una din cele doua versiuni de single a fost, totusi, in varianta stereo.

Deep Purple - Deep Purple in Rock (Full album 1970)

“Deep Purple in Rock” is the fourth studio album by English rock band Deep Purple, released in June 1970. It was the first studio album recorded by the Mark II line-up of Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice.
The album was the band's breakthrough album in Europe and peaked at No. 4 in the UK, remaining in the charts for months. (The band's prior MK I albums had been much better received in the United States and Canada than in their homeland.) An accompanying single, "Black Night" reached No. 2. The album was supported by the successful In Rock World Tour, which lasted 15 months. The album has continued to attract critical praise as a key example of the hard rock genre.

“Deep Purple in Rock” este al patrulea album al trupei engleze de rock Deep Purple, lansat în Iunie 1970. A fost primul cu cea de-a doua componență a formației și totodată cea clasică. “Deep Purple in Rock” a fost albumul cu care grupul a reușit să prindă la public și în Europa, atingând locul 4 în Marea Britanie și rămânând în topuri pentru mai multe luni. ( Albumele formulei anterioare MK I au fost mai bine primate in Statele Unite si Canada, decat in proprialor tara.) Un single insotitor, “Black Night”, a atins locul 2.  LP-ul a fost promovat cu succes de turneul In Rock World Tour, ce a durat 15 luni. Albumul continua sa adune laude ale criticii ca un exemplu de model al genului hard rock.
