"Elvis" is the second studio album by Elvis
Presley, released on RCA Victor in October 1956 in both mono, LPM 1382, and
reprocessed (fake) stereo, LPM 1382(e). Recording sessions took place on
September 1, September 2, and September 3 at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, with
one track left over from the sessions for Presley's debut album at the RCA
Victor recording studios on January 30 in New York. It spent four weeks at #1
on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart that year, making Presley the first
recording artist to have both albums go straight to number one in the same
year. It was certified Gold on February 17, 1960, and Platinum on August 10,
2011, by the Recording Industry Association of America.
It was originally released in UK in 1957 as "Elvis Presley No. 2" with a different front cover (on His Master's Voice CLP1105). It was also catalogued as "Rock 'n' Roll No. 2".

1382 si reprocesat (fals) stereo, LPM 1382 (e). Sesiunile de inregistrari s-au
tinut la 1,2 si 3 septembrie la Radio Recorders din Hollywood, cu o piesa
ramasa afara de la sesiunile pentru albumul de debut din 30 ianuarie de la
studiourile din New York ale lui RCA Victor. A petrecut 4 saptamani pe locul 1
in clasamentul de la Billboard Top Pop Albums din acel an, facand din Presley
primul artist cu doua albume care au mers direct pe primul loc in acelasi an. A
fost certificate cu aur la 17 februarie 1060 de catre RIIA.
